About Me

Stephen R. Shelley has an undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctorate degree from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.   Mr. Shelley opened his own law practice in 2005 in Homestead, Florida and practiced law for 10 years before being recruited to be the CEO of a not for profit called Farm Share.  Mr. Shelley also served twelve (12) years on the Homestead City Council in the capacity of Mayor, Vice Mayor and Councilman.

Although Mr. Shelley enjoyed his legal practice and civic responsibilities, his real passion is photography.  Mr. Shelley has been an avid outdoorsman his whole life, fishing, camping, hiking and generally getting out in the wilderness as often as possible.  He enjoys the solitude nature provides away from the hustle, bustle and stress of life.   Mr. Shelley is a self taught photographer who has honed his craft through practice, experience, trial and error.

Mr. Shelley’s favorite subject matter is the Florida Everglades and the Florida Keys.  His favorite time of year is summer when Florida has the great cloud formations and thunderstorms as backdrops.  Mr. Shelley likes to hike and wade through the cypress domes and saw grass prairies of Big Cypress and Everglades National Park in search of new and captivating subject matter.

Mr. Shelley’s goal is to capture the beauty of nature on canvas and encourage conservation of our natural resources so that they may continue to be enjoyed by future generations.
